I’m too Bad for God to Love

The answer is no.  The only thing that can separate you from Gods love is your rejection of it.  But know, even if you do reject God’s love  it still isn’t God not loving you, but rather it is you not receiving His Love.  He still loves you whether you want Him to or not.

Gods love reaches deeper then your most terrible sin and He made a way for you to be restored to Him.

Isaiah 1:18

  • “Come now, let us reason together, says the LORD: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool.

1Timothy 1:15

  • The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the foremost.

Romans 5:6-8

  • For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die— but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

John 3:16

  • God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son.  That whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.

His love is waiting for you, all you need to do is accept it.

    • Hello Rhonda, I’m sorry that you “feel far from God. Please know that your “feeling” that God is not near is not necessarily true. If you are a child of God (which you have professed that you are) then your feelings have nothing to do with God’s love or nearness for or to you. He promises that He will never leave or forsake us, Deuteronomy 31:6 says (NIV) Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Difficulties and hard life circumstances is part of life and as sad as they are we have to journey through them. Often our feelings cloud truth. It’s human nature. BUT the good news is that God’s Love for us is not based on our feelings but rAther His. He is only a whisper away. Call out to Him and invite Him into your situation. Continue to do so even if you don’t feel Him. Before you know it, you’ll begin to feel His comfort and strength to journey through your circumstances. Give over to Him those things that are keeping you from “feeling” Him and trust that He’ll begin a new work in your life.

I wouldn’t encourage you like this if I hadn’t been there. He showed up for me and I’m no more special in the eyes or heart of God then you are.

Be of good cheer for He is with you.
